In an exciting continuation of the partnership, Big Shock Racing will participate in the first-ever season of the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship, closely supported by the innovation and passionate drive of Champion Lubricants!
The seventh racing world championship launched by the FIA – alongside the likes of Formula 1, Formula E, World Rally Championship, and more – the all-new WRRC brings together the best cross-country rally drivers and teams in the world. With a total of six manufacturers and 52 crews taking part in the inaugural season, it is sure to thrill rally fans around the world.
With pioneering lubrication solutions from Champion, the Big Shock Racing IVECO race truck has been engineered from the ground up for the WRRC’s five extreme and demanding events: Dakar (Saudi Arabia), Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge (United Arab Emirates), Kazakhstan Rally (Kazakhstan), Rally Andalucia (Spain) and Rallye du Maroc (Morocco).
Impressive results in Dakar 2022 mean that Martin Macik and his Big Shock Racing IVECO are currently leading the T5 category – the perfect start to a world championship battle. In total, five trucks have registered for the championship, with MM Technology – the builder of the Big Shock Racing IVECO – supplying three of the entrants.

With a wide variety of terrain, climates and racing conditions, the WRRC will be one of the most demanding motorsport championships in the world. While the competition among drivers will be fierce, it is their machines that will be put to the ultimate test. In the pursuit of performance and thriving under pressure, Champion’s R&D team has formulated robust lubricants specifically designed for Big Shock Racing’s greatest challenge.
Based on Champion’s industry-leading lubrication technologies, Martin Macik’s IVECO will use a tailored SAE 10W-60 racing engine oil and a high-performance SAE 75W-140 transaxle oil. With the switch to automatic transmissions in 2021, the Big Shock Racing team now also benefits from the proven CHAMPION NEW ENERGY MULTI VEHICLE ATF fluid. The team will maximise performance and reliability with our lubricants that are designed with advanced innovations – like our Adaptive Shield Technology – that use specialised additives to protect the engines and keep them operating at maximum performance under extreme conditions.
